Methodology
Your chart depends on a birth instant, a place, and a chosen calculation system. Here is how those become the labels you see, what has been checked, and what a chart cannot establish.
Calculation layer
The browser uses astronomy-engine to calculate tropical longitudes for the Sun, Moon, and supported planets at the entered date and exact time. A direct NASA/JPL corpus checks those astronomical positions within a declared tolerance; it does not validate astrological meaning.
Zohvia implements PAC's published fixed-initial-point description with astronomy-engine rotations and checks 13 printed 2026–27 Rashtriya Panchang values under a disclosed time interpretation. This is not PAC approval or universal Lahiri correctness and may differ from another implementation near boundaries.
The entered place, coordinates, timezone, date, and exact time feed the ascendant calculation. Zohvia then uses whole-sign houses and divides the sidereal Moon longitude into 27 nakshatras and four padas.
The free Kundli calculator shows named chart placements. Paid report access adds saved reports, PDF downloads, revocable sharing, and corrections for the purchased report type. Reports do not include predictive readings, life-area scores, dasha timelines, remedies, Sade Sati, forecasts, or exact longitude values.
Evidence model
Objective astronomy, government calendrical publications, named textual witnesses, pinned independent implementations, and boundary tests serve different roles. Forums, videos, blogs, and practitioner material may reveal variants or confusing edge cases, but popularity does not decide a calculation rule. Shipped rules name their conventions. Versioned claim records connect authorized explanatory copy to calculated-fact paths, source locators, risks, and required boundaries. That is software traceability, not source-owner, practitioner, or human-astrologer certification.
Matching disclosure
Match uses eight weighted rule categories with a maximum of 36 points. Varna can use an explicitly selected directional rule; its default symmetric rule, the simplified symmetric Vashya table, and symmetric Gana table are product modifications. Nadi and Bhakoot adjustments do not restore points. Manglik flags and their adjustment states are separate from the total. D9 ascendant signs are chart details, not a compatibility measure. None of these rules establishes relationship outcomes.
Match rule reference
Varna has two selectable modes; only one contributes to the eight-row total. Historical references locate related rules. Where Zohvia uses a different table or score, the difference is stated beside it.
Inputs: Both sidereal Moon-sign elements
One point for the same element, Water with Earth, or Fire with Air; otherwise zero.
Selected convention: A symmetric Zohvia element rule, replacing the historical directional Varna point. Swapping profiles preserves this point.
Elements do not establish personality, social identity, or suitability for marriage.
Inputs: Both sidereal Moon signs; Explicitly selected calculation roles
The selected groom-role chart receives one point when its Moon-sign group has equal or higher precedence in this historical table; otherwise zero. Both directional results are retained.
Selected convention: This choice changes only the Varna row. The other seven rows remain the declared Zohvia policies. Roles are selected, never inferred from a name or profile order.
Historical chart categories do not identify either person's caste, ancestry, gender, worth, or relationship role.

Two points for matching classes; zero for a human-class and forest-class pair; one for other pairs. Sagittarius and Capricorn change class at 15 degrees within the sign.
Selected convention: Zohvia uses a symmetric five-class simplification. The linked historical witness is directional and does not establish this simplified table.

Inputs: Both Moon nakshatras
Count inclusively from each nakshatra to the other. Reduce each count to 1–9, treating remainder zero as 9. Each direction earns 1.5 points unless its number is 3, 5, or 7.
Selected convention: The selected rule sums both directions and does not depend on calculation roles.
The count does not predict luck, wellbeing, or relationship events.

Look up the two animal categories in Zohvia's symmetric 14-by-14 matrix. Matching categories receive four points; other cells receive zero to three.
Selected convention: The source locates animal assignments and score categories; it does not independently establish every cell of Zohvia's selected matrix.
Animal categories do not measure sexuality, consent, attraction, or either person's character.

Same lord or mutual table friendship earns 5; friend/neutral earns 4; mutual neutral earns 3; enemy/friend earns 1; enemy/neutral earns 0.5; mutual enemy earns zero.
Selected convention: The linked commentary gives 2 and 1 for the two mixed-enemy categories; Zohvia's selected policy gives 1 and 0.5. These conventions are not interchangeable.
Planetary table relationships do not measure friendship, communication, or mental compatibility between people.

Matching groups receive 6 points. A different-group pair involving the Rakshasa table category receives 3; the remaining different-group pair receives 5.
Selected convention: Zohvia's symmetric 6/5/3 policy differs from the linked commentary's 6/4/0 categories. Selecting directional Varna does not change Gana.
A Gana category does not establish temperament, kindness, behaviour, or safety.
Inputs: Both sidereal Moon signs; Inclusive sign distances in both directions
Zero points when either distance is 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 12; seven otherwise. A separately displayed lord-relationship adjustment leaves these base points unchanged.
Selected convention: Zohvia's adjustment checks same lord or mutual table friendship. The historical discussion contains further conditions and different adjusted scoring; Zohvia does not claim to reproduce them.
This rule says nothing about finances, children, health, or whether a relationship will last.

Different groups receive 8 points; the same group receives zero. Zohvia notes an adjustment for the same Moon sign with different nakshatras, or the same nakshatra with different padas. The base points stay unchanged.
Selected convention: The linked source locates the three groups. Zohvia's combined sign-or-pada adjustment is a separately declared policy, not established by that group locator.
Nadi does not diagnose health, genetics, fertility, or family outcomes.
Interpretation boundary
Astrology is not scientifically validated as a reliable measure of personality, compatibility, health, or future events. Traditional language shown around a calculated position or period is symbolic interpretation. Do not use it to make or time medical, mental-health, fertility, mortality, safety, financial, legal, property, work, or relationship decisions. Use real-world evidence and qualified advice where relevant.
Good to know
Zohvia uses the astronomy-engine software library for tropical Sun, Moon, and planet positions and for the rotations in its continuous PAC fixed-initial-point sidereal model. This is Zohvia's implementation, not PAC certification or a licensed Swiss Ephemeris implementation.
Zohvia runs automated reference, timezone, ascendant, node, Panchanga, rule-variant, numerical-boundary, and claim-safety checks. Those checks are software evidence, not independent certification. Zohvia does not claim practitioner certification or scientific validation of astrology.
No. Zohvia uses a named, modified 36-point framework. Vashya and Gana are symmetric product tables. Varna uses a disclosed symmetric rule unless you explicitly select a directional calculation role. Nadi and Bhakoot adjustments are separate flags and do not restore points. Results can differ from other implementations.
Birth time affects the ascendant, houses, divisional charts, and can affect Moon-based calculations near a boundary. Zohvia does not rectify, infer, or substitute a time, so personal results stay unavailable until an exact time is entered.
No. Computing a celestial position does not scientifically validate a traditional meaning attached to that position. Zohvia labels astrological interpretation as symbolic reflection, not evidence, advice, or a reliable forecast.
