A named rule, with its limits in view
Zohvia’s Match uses a disclosed product framework based on selected Ashtakoota concepts. This article explains its source-linked Varna option and material modifications; it does not claim an unmodified classical score, source-owner approval, or practitioner certification.
What the 36 points refer to
Ashtakoota-style Guna Milan assigns fixed maximum weights to eight categories: Varna (1), Vashya (2), Tara (3), Yoni (4), Graha Maitri (5), Gana (6), Bhakoot (7), and Nadi (8), totaling 36.
For Zohvia's selected profile—Muhurta Chintamani, Vivaha-prakarana 6.22, scan page 145 / printed page 125—the sidereal Moon sign maps by element: water to Brahmin, fire to Kshatriya, earth to Vaishya, and air to Shudra. Other published implementations use different tables, which is why the source profile is named. These are historical chart-table labels. They do not identify a person's caste, jati, ancestry, occupation, worth, or legal Scheduled Caste status—and Zohvia never asks for any of those things.
Why the direction cannot be guessed
The selected source profile's one-point rule is directional: it compares the chart assigned the groom role with the chart assigned the bride role. Zohvia's first and second profile positions are arbitrary, so form order is never treated as gender or marriage role.
The implementation retains both source-profile directions. Its counted row depends on an explicit calculation-role selection. With no selected role, its modified row uses Zohvia's symmetric element rule: the same element, water with earth, or fire with air earns the point.
A traditional rule can be reproduced without pretending its chart label is a person's social identity.
Other material modifications
Gana uses a symmetric product table. Some traditional formulations are asymmetric, but the retained implementation does not silently infer a groom/bride role for that six-point table.
Vashya also uses a simplified symmetric product table. Nadi and Bhakoot adjustments are shown separately and do not restore row points. Because the selected Varna mode, Gana policy, and other table variants can differ, a Zohvia total should not be treated as interchangeable with another implementation. Zohvia tests its named, versioned profile across the complete pair matrix and numerical-boundary corpus; that software evidence is not practitioner or source-owner certification.
How to use the result
Use the category ledger only to understand which product rules produced the number. Astrology is not scientifically validated as a reliable measure of compatibility, and no total or threshold can establish consent, communication, values, safety, health, fertility, finances, or whether a relationship will succeed.
Real decisions belong to the adults involved and should rely on observed behavior, direct conversation, real-world evidence, and qualified advice where needed.
